Ask four questions
Does the operator offer the service in the places you need? Does your exact phone model support its requirements? Is your plan eligible? Does your existing SIM need replacement or a settings change?
Avoid upgrade scams
An unsolicited caller asking for an OTP or remote access to “enable 5G” needs independent verification. Contact the operator using its official app or website before taking action.
SIM security still matters
Faster connectivity does not remove the need to protect account recovery or prevent unauthorised replacements. Follow SIM-swap precautions and keep your device updated.
