SIM SAFETY

Identity misuse and unauthorised SIM registration

Reduce identity exposure and respond to signs that a connection may have been opened without your permission.

Prepared 8 October 2026 · General guidance; check current provider requirements

Identity misuse can involve several services. An unknown SIM count is one warning sign, but it is not proof that every account linked to your identity has been compromised.

Reduce unnecessary exposure

Share identity documents only when a legitimate process requires them. Verify the recipient and purpose. Do not post a full CNIC, subscriber message or complaint attachment in a public group.

Watch for changes you did not request

Keep an eye on unexplained connection counts, unexpected SIM replacement messages and account-recovery changes. Investigate each issue with the provider responsible for that record.

Report a specific problem

Use unauthorised SIM reporting for a disputed mobile registration. Contact NADRA through its official channels for an identity-record concern. Ask what protective or corrective options exist for your case rather than assuming a universal “fraud flag” service.

Keep evidence organised

Maintain a private timeline, references and responses. Separate confirmed facts from suspicions when reporting. Avoid accusing a named person based only on an unverified lookup result.
