Biometric SIM verification: prepare for your visit
Prepare for an authorized SIM verification visit and handle failed fingerprints without trusting a third-party BVS checker.
On this page
Biometric verification is part of authorized identity checks for mobile services. Ask your operator what applies to your transaction before visiting. A web page displaying a SIM count does not certify that every required verification step is complete.
At the service centre
Take the valid identity document the operator requests. Explain whether you need a new connection, replacement, transfer or record correction. Read the transaction details before providing a fingerprint. Ask for confirmation of the exact service completed.
If fingerprints do not match
Ask staff to explain the approved exception or retry process. NADRA may need to address an identity-record issue. Do not keep authorizing unrelated scans or pay a stranger for a promised bypass. The acceptable alternative depends on current official procedures and your case.
Avoid fake SIM verification requests
Do not provide fingerprints in return for an unexplained prize, cash offer or “free SIM”. Ask which operator and transaction the device is processing. If you think a connection was opened without consent, use unauthorized SIM reporting.
