How to ask for your SIM registration date

Request activation information for your own connection and understand the difference between activation, replacement and porting dates.

Prepared 8 October 2026 · General guidance; check current provider requirements

Ask your operator if you need the registration or activation date for a connection you own. A SIM-count result is not a dated history of every change to the account.

Be precise about the date

The original activation, a replacement card issue, a network transfer and an ownership transfer can happen on different dates. Tell support which event matters and why you need it.

Prepare supporting records

Keep your purchase receipt, porting messages, service reference or replacement receipt if available. Use the operator's verified identity-check process. Do not buy an alleged activation history from a private database seller.

If you need written confirmation

Ask whether the operator can provide a statement or other record for your purpose and whether a service-centre visit is required. Availability depends on the request and provider. This site cannot retrieve subscriber history.

Read ownership transfers and number portability before treating a recent event as the first registration.
